Master Class on Communication in Autism Spectrum Disorder

The first of the Master Class series was organized by Nitte Institute of Speech and Hearing on 9th March, 2019 at Chintana Hall, Justice K S Hegde Hospital, Mangalore. The aim of the Master Class is to create a platform where expert guest speakers from the field of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and other associated fields, will deliver talks to boost the professional knowledge of students and professionals.

The Master Class series was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Prathibha Karanth (Founder Director, ComDEALL, Bangalore) and Prof. T Dattareya (Director, NISH).The Institute had the privilege of having Prof. Dr. Prathibha Karanth as the first guest speaker for the Master Class. Dr Karanth shared her expertise with regards to 'Communication in Autism Spectrum Disorder'. Her experience as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist who has contributed immensely to the assessment and rehabilitation of children with Autism Spectrum disorder, was very motivating and enlightening for all the attendees.

102 students and 23 professionals attended the Master Class.
